Is your child between the ages of 3 and 7? If so, why not try Junior Musketeers at Kielder Waterside, the perfect activity for your little ones. Junior Musketeers is a safe, fun, introduction to the world of fencing, teaching your child how to how to fence, learning some of the best techniques from our experts. 

 

Children’s fencing lessons 

Junior Musketeers is the perfect children’s fencing lesson, using a foam sword to practice some of the best fencing techniques. At the end of the session your child will have learnt the following: 

  • The en-garde stance 
  • Thrust and lunge movements 
  • Entering their first fencing tournament

Our children’s fencing class is comprised with a wide range of activities to compete in this is split between both practical and creative activities. 

Fencing is a popular sport, one that has a long history, being one of the five sports that has been present in every Olympic games. With the ultimate aim being to strike your opponent whilst avoiding being hit yourself.
