A Backcountry Survival Course in North East England is designed to give attendees an insight into the planning and preparation stages, along with the safe and successful execution of an expedition both at home and abroad. From weather forecasting, navigation and safe route choice, equipment and clothing to specialist equipment and communications use.
The courses are ran from Kielder which is home to Europe’s largest man-made reservoir and woodland. Kielder forest has also been awarded gold tier Dark Skies Status by the International Dark Skies Association (IDS). Deep in the heart of Northumberland you can experience night skies that are out of this world.
You can choose from either one day or two day courses. The one day course is ideal for beginners, the two day course is more strenuous and involves a certain level of fitness. There are range of dates for each course to choose from.
You can book your Survival Course in North East England here.
