1. Book a lodge with a hot tub. Nestled into the heart of the forest and located under the darkest skies in England, relaxing in your very own hot tub is as romantic as it gets.
2. Explore something new – make memories to share for a lifetime by exploring some of our unique outdoor Art & Architecture or hiring a bike and cycling along the Lakeside way with stunning scenery as you go.
3. Get an adrenaline rush – if you are a fan of fast paced sports try out on of our mountain bike trails. They are voted some of the best in the country and range from beginners to the ultimate adrenaline ride.
4. Take a trip to the observatory. Kielder Observatory is an experience like no other, book onto an event and you will be left breathless. Learn all about the universe we live in and if you time it right you can even see the northern lights. Be sure to book early as events get full months in advance – it’ that good!
5. Make it platinum. As you may have noticed we love our stars and once you see them you will too. Book one of our brand new Platinum Stars lodge’s and get to see them in your very own dark skies pod.
6. Make it just about the two of you. Kielder was once voted the most remote village in the UK and with the remoteness comes hit and miss wifi. Turn off your social media and texting and enjoy a few days away from everyone and everything.

Road Closure

We wanted to make you aware of a road closure that may affect your route from Monday 15th April. If you are planning to travel to Kielder Waterside via the B6357 (Newcastleton) there will be road works in force with the road closing from 8:30am to 17:00pm daily, finishing the evening of Wednesday 17th April.

An Alternative route to follow would be to head towards Hawick, then to Bonchester Bridge (A6088) then along the B6357 following the signs for Kielder Waterside.

Or if you are travelling in Via the M6 please follow the A69.
