We want to reassure all guests that we have taken any means necessary to ensure that your safety is pivotal during your stay with us.
We are working hard to combat COVID-19 in the UK and as a holiday we introduced measures that are in-line with the latest Government guidelines.
Our hardworking team here at Kielder Waterside are fully equipped and trained to make your stay with us both enjoyable and safe.
Safety and cleanliness has always been something we pride ourselves on and we have always employed five-star cleaning protocols throughout our park. However in the light of the pandemic we have taken that next step and further trained our housekeeping team with new chemicals and fogging equipment.
We have been provided with a ‘safer stays’ badge by our booking partner Hoseasons and Visit England in recognition of our new safety measures.
plan your trip book your stayAll of our cleaners are wearing adequate PPE and have been given the relevant training guidance to enable them to work safely and to the appropriate guidelines.
Notices will be visible for all guests upon lodge entry to inform that no one has been in the property since it was cleaned. Clear social distancing measures are visible and clearly displayed.
Commonly used items such as remote controls, light switches, lamps, door and window handles, thermostats, plug sockets, appliances, blind cords and hot tub lids/covers are all sanitised.
Hot tubs will continue to be cleaned, sanitised and checked daily to industry standards.
All surfaces are sanitised using anti-viral or hospital grade disinfectant.
Safer check-ins and check outs have been implemented to minimise human interaction.
This is delivered by using an industry leading misting/fogging technique developed for hospital operating theatres and deep cleaning. The atomised sanitation product that we are using kills 99.99% of all bacteria and viruses.
How does it work?
The fogging machine fills the area with a mist that fills the whole area with a strong disinfectant similar to that used in deep cleans and in hospital theatres. The sanitisation of the living space covers everything from ceiling to floor and wall to wall including all surfaces such as tables, kitchen benches, bedroom furniture and bathrooms and high contact areas too such as remote controls, handles, fridges, kettles and taps.
Any cleaning equipment that we use whether it be mop heads, cloths etc will only be used once before either being disposed of or washed at the recommended temperature of 70°C+ which is the temperature that kills all known bacteria and viruses.
Safe to all
The fogging machine chemicals are safe for both people and animals too so you can be safe in the knowledge that you can enter your lodge ready to have the most enjoyable stay with us.
When our housekeeping team exit your lodge we will give you that added piece of mind by placing a perforated sticker on the external door seal so that you know that nobody has been in your lodge since the cleaning process.
Sanitisation to this standard will be completed between every guest departing and prior to all new arrivals
All pillows and mattresses have protectors on and they are changed between all breaks. All quilts and cushions are also sanitised using the same technique.
In addition to this- all linen, towels and bedding are also washed to Government advised standards at 70°C+ so you can be sure that everything is safe and ready for your stay with us.
Other changes we have made include:
